Frequently Asked Questions

Clear your doubts before stepping up to save a life.

Yes, but as per medical guidelines, you must wait for a period of 6 months after getting a tattoo, semi-permanent makeup, or any body piercing before you can safely donate blood.

Not at all. Your body replenishes the donated fluid volume within 24-48 hours. The red blood cells are replaced within a few weeks. Drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy meal post-donation keeps you energetic.

The actual blood drawing takes only about 8-10 minutes. However, the entire process including registration, a quick mini-physical checkup, and post-donation resting takes around 30-45 minutes.

It depends on the medication and the condition it's treating. Many common medications (like blood pressure pills) do not prevent you from donating. Always consult with our medical staff at the camp or contact our helpline first.
